If no adjustments were made, the system should default to UEFI. All contemporary devices beginning with Windows 8 must use UEFI.

Windows will launch on whatever settings you choose. For optimal performance, use Windows 8 or later, and ensure your UEFI is configured to UEFI mode. If you're using Windows Vista or earlier, set your UEFI to Legacy mode. Please remember that Windows 7 supports UEFI booting but doesn't fully utilize it. Make sure no legacy hardware remains in your system, and disable the Compatibility Support Module in UEFI while enabling Fast Boot whenever needed.
