I've set everything up for you. Let's go through the situation step by step. I recently got the new Odyssey Neo G8 and had to buy it after saving up. Around the same time, I upgraded my system with a 3090 Ti. My previous setup was a Titan X Maxwell, and I used 3 and 27-inch ASUS Rog Swifts monitors (PG278Q). The issue started after the upgrade, specifically when I connected too many monitors at once.

The problem was that when I tried to boot the computer using the Samsung Neo G8 as the main monitor and two ROG Swifts on either side, Windows wouldn't start. Even after following the motherboard's boot code, the monitors wouldn't turn on. When I unplugged them and plugged them back in, nothing changed. After turning off the PC and unplugging the ASUS monitors, only the Samsung one worked perfectly. I was able to connect the other monitors and everything functioned normally.

I'm guessing the Samsung monitor is slow to boot and sometimes loses connection when it detects new input. The ASUS ones connect instantly with just one input. I think my GPU might be trying to manage multiple devices, but the Samsung monitor seems to be interfering with the video drivers. What do you think? Any ideas?

Power on and enter the Samsung monitor only. Look for the control knob and the directional menu button on the device. Refer to a YouTube tutorial: in the Samsung monitor settings, navigate to System > Source Detection and choose manual mode. Exit the menu then pick your desired source. Verify your monitor's refresh rate in display settings. Ensure your drivers are current. Restart the system and allow it to power off completely before turning it back on, avoid shutting it down or restarting other monitors until the process is complete.

I just set up an account after experiencing this same issue. My PC broke apart multiple times, including the custom loop, because of a faulty monitor. I installed RGB fans and thought maybe something was wrong. I tried reducing daisy chains, but kept getting strange error codes like 99 or 1A. Sometimes it would start up, which confused me. Since I had a backup monitor and keyboard for testing, it worked fine then. When I connected the Samsung Neo G8, the problems began. After some research and testing, I changed cables, tried using only the G8, adjusted the refresh rate from 240 to 120 Hz, and discovered that setting it to 120 Hz resolved the issue. I also updated the VBIO settings for my 4090 chipset, but nothing changed. The Windows installation was fresh, drivers were updated. I’m returning the device because I’m not confident it’s stable. I suspect this monitor might have caused the crash during gameplay too. I’m not sure how much this cost, but I don’t trust it anymore. It seems like a serious risk to my system.
