Required details: Ryzen 5 3600, 4x8 3000 GB RAM, ASRock B450M Pro 4, 2060Super, Corsair RM650X, NZXT H510. Recently I’ve faced issues with Windows. Most problems involve Ethernet and I often see the message “Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP.” I attempted to reinstall Windows from a USB without a boot disk, but it failed and caused a BSOD. Error codes appeared like “Bad pool caller” and “qos…”. I tried using a boot drive, but the same BSOD happened. My friend suggested checking RAM or SSD problems. I removed three RAM modules and restarted the PC. The BSOD repeated. I turned off the PSU via the button but didn’t disconnect the power cable. While removing RAM, I noticed a slight electrical discharge from the back of the motherboard. Now my computer won’t power on at all—no fans spinning, only a fan hub LED lit up. Can anyone help figure out what’s wrong? I’m pretty sure the motherboard is damaged, but I’m not sure if the PSU is the issue.

Turning off the power button on the back of the PSU should have cut off all electricity to your equipment. Have you checked each memory stick individually? One at a time? Perhaps also the various slots? Regarding the original problem, I once encountered a faulty Ethernet cable that led to similar symptoms. I would have checked there first.
