If you enter the IP address in that way, nothing unusual occurs. The Windows login works without any issues or errors. A new device can access it immediately just by entering a password and logging in. However, it still manages to view the content.

In Windows 10 the default setting hides network files, but you can still reach them via IP address. Whether this works under the PC name isn't clear, so enabling SMB might be necessary.
