Windows is shutting down on its own during high graphics gameplay.
I have a desktop with the configuration mentioned. I’ve been experiencing problems for some time. My system automatically restarts when playing high-end games such as FAR CRY NEW DAWN and Quantum Break, even without encountering a Blue Screen. I’m confused about what’s going on. I just installed Windows and updated all my drivers, but the issue persists.
Today I cleaned the cabinet, turned off overclocking, checked the fan speed, installed CoreTemp, and ran some tests. There’s no overheating issue, but every time during specific parts of the game (FAR CRY New Dawn, Quantum Break), the system restarts automatically. After following all the steps I mentioned earlier, nothing happened. However, when I disconnected the GPU and connected it to the motherboard with a monitor, the game became stuck in that part. In FAR CRY New Dawn, the game started lagging but then resumed normally once the GPU and monitor were connected properly.
I’m wondering if upgrading my PSU to 650W would help resolve this.
