Hi, I'm not sure if the issue is hardware-related or software-based. After a complete system upgrade, I started experiencing problems. This happened right after the full upgrade, so it's unclear if a specific component is failing.

Issue: Whenever I switch between windows using Alt+Tab (like Netflix, Store, etc.), the system becomes unresponsive for a few seconds to up to about 10 seconds. I checked Task Manager, but no hardware appears to be under heavy load compared to before and after the slowdown. The lag mainly affects window apps but doesn't usually impact other processes except those running in the browser. For instance, if I keep pressing Alt+Tab or just tap it once, windows freeze, preventing me from opening new tabs from the taskbar. However, I can still use Chrome normally. This problem has been ongoing for 2-3 months and is quite bothersome. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What I've tried:
- Checked SSD read/write speeds – everything seems normal.
- Updated motherboard drivers.
- Reinstalled disk and RAM firmware.
- Installed the latest official drivers.
- Reinstalled Windows completely.

Parts (if something is clearly wrong):
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 3600x
- GPU: ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 10GB TUF GAMING OC
- Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING
- RAM: Corsair 32GB DDR4 3200MHz Vengeance RGB PRO
- PSU: Seasonic FOCUS GX 750W
- Main disk: Corsair Force MP510B 480GB

Have you installed the GPU drivers? Did you install the chipset drivers? Ensure your Power Plane is configured for AMD. Have you updated your UEFI/BIOS? Check the CPU and GPU temperatures. Is this issue present from the start or appeared about 2–3 months ago?

Hello, I'm using the newest GPU drivers via GeForce Experience, have updated chipset drivers, and tried updating the BIOS—both CPU and GPU are comfortably below 50% usage during the process. I've also configured the Power Plan to AMD.

No, there isn't any issue under SafeMode.

I just verified it seems okay in safe mode, though the issue is quite inconsistent. It sometimes occurs and then stops consistently. After restarting from safe mode, everything appears normal, but it resurfaces unexpectedly again about 30 minutes later.

Verify all connections and cables; possible hardware problem. Examine the Event Viewer as well.

All links were verified after installation, but the issue continued once I repositioned everything. The lag was activated, yet no new entries appeared in the event viewer.

Run Procmon to observe the process behavior.

Be mindful of everything that’s been sent your way, as it seems to be overwhelming at the moment.

It's a diagnostic aid that could assist in identifying issues while your system freezes—watch for any activity afterward. You can also examine the software launching at startup with Autoruns. There isn't a quick fix like pressing F8 and then a specific key; you need to diagnose and resolve the problem yourself.
