Hi, Your old HDD (with OS) stopped working recently, so you replaced it with a better M.2 SSD. After installing Windows and trying all the YouTube guides, you’re still stuck. The error message says: “Select proper boot device – says in BIOS it’s a hard disk?” Even though it looks fine in BIOS and the boot priority list shows the SSD, it won’t work. Help?

Identify priority settings for boot order
Check if the desired method works; if not, remove other drives or SSDs and attempt again

Solution found. I don't know the exact steps, but the PC and Windows are running properly now. Fresh install worked after about six attempts… odd thing.
