I just assembled a new PC with a gigabyte motherboard. After installing my M.2 SSD, it appeared in the BIOS occasionally, but I’m not sure what to do next. I’ve looked into various solutions, but nothing seems to help.

To add this drive as extra storage, you must format it first. Look for "Disk Management" in Windows and open it. Your drive should show up if installed properly. Click the drive, choose "Initialize Disk," then follow the setup prompts using the default options. You can assign a name and letter. The drive will appear immediately or after restarting your computer. If you need to use it for the operating system, re-seat the drive and verify the pins in the slot.

It appears sporadically in the Bios, possibly due to incomplete seating. I recommend removing it and reinserting it properly.
