Windows installation fails due to disk issues.
I plan to perform a fresh installation of Windows on this PC. I removed an SSD from my previous system that held games and cleared its contents, intending to use it as a boot device. But when setting up Windows, I encounter this warning. How can I resolve this issue? The format option isn’t working. I’m running an ASUS UEFI BIOS.
Press Shift + F10 to open DiskPart, type in the disk number 0, press Enter, then clean the disk, hit Enter again, close the prompt, and press Next. Don’t try to partition manually—reboot to BIOS and turn off the CSM feature before proceeding.
Thanks for the update. It seems Windows Media Creation Tool generated both an old and a UEFI partition on the USB. I changed the boot sequence to prioritize the UEFI partition, and it resolved the issue!
