You had a Windows update that broke your installation, making many tools unusable. Reinstalling Windows might be necessary. Steam Proton and iTunes aren’t working either, which is frustrating.

Open Steam, then Settings, select Steam Play. Check the boxes for "Enable Steam Play for supported titles" and "Enable Steam Play for all titles." For future reference, you can run: inxi -F to view your Linux machine info.

Sure, I found that Ubuntu resolved an issue I thought was caused by my router slowing down my internet connection.
