Just installed the computer and bios is detecting devices, but Windows 7 isn’t installing. I downloaded the OS with a key and followed the guide from Linus’s NCIX video. When trying to boot via USB, it shows “remove disks or other media. Press any key to restart.” It seems the file format on the USB doesn’t match what’s on the disk. The Linux version dragged files in while the Microsoft download was a single MSI G55 SLI module. Hope this helps! Cheers, Anton

My friend (@alby800) and I faced the same issue on his build. We spent half an hour trying everything without success until I had a clever solution—loading the key onto a disk worked perfectly. If you have a disk reader, maybe you could give it a shot?

Not all USB keys function properly. You must locate and employ a USB flash drive with a controller that allows booting from it.
