Windows Game Mode leads to unusual problems in certain games?
I experienced an issue for a prolonged period without knowing its origin. The gameplay frequently altered—speed changed, camera levels shifted, or in Rocket League, the height adjusted randomly after reboots and shutdowns. None of these changes were due to my adjustments. I have already replaced the monitor and RAM, and I always disable the Xbox game bar after installing Windows, which rules out that as a cause.
I didn’t expect Windows Game Mode because it merely halts background applications and blocks updates, etc. But when I turned it off, the games stopped changing, yet performance seemed worse than with Game Mode. It wasn’t as smooth even during times when Game Mode was active, though it did improve at other times. My concern is whether others have faced similar problems. What steps can I take to restore the smooth experience of Game Mode? I don’t want to reactivate it due to its frequent disruptions and the unusual variability. Also, I’ve set basic settings long ago—do you think this could be related to Windows Game Mode?
I mean, Game Mode isn't really essential for gaming but I use it often and I'm fine with it. Plus I enjoy optimizing a lot, which is another thing. I don't think it's Game Mode at all unless you've eliminated all other possibilities. It could be something else and you might not be noticing it. What if it's just related to latency or lag without the setting active? When was the last time you updated drivers or Windows or something similar? Just a quick question.
Actually, the real problem wasn't Game mode itself, but the absence of it. Without Game mode, the visuals changed, making it feel slower or more laggy. I noticed this too—I often felt like the game ran faster or slower and sometimes had more noticeable delays than when playing normally.
I have a problem that the games change, for example, after a restart or just because I restart the game and don't change anything. I reinstalled windows but the same problem still exists. Should I take out the CMOS battery or what can cause this? I could send a video of it, but you will say that you don't see anything on it, but there is a difference. It's not just my imagination playing tricks on me. Of course, all drivers are up-to-date, including Windows and BIOS. Also, I recently updated the BIOS and it changed even then.

You need to specify the issue. What games are we talking about here? What kind of an issue are you experiencing?
I reinstalled windows but the same problem still exists.
Where did you source the installer for the OS? Did you install the OS in offline mode? As for the driver, did you manually install the latest versions in an elevated command while disconnected from the www?
Also, I recently updated the BIOS and it changed even then.
Did you clear the CMOS after verifying your BIOS was flashed tot he latest version? On a side note, what BIOS version are you on for your mysterious motherboard?
Speaking of mystery, we'll also need to know the specs to your build. Please list them like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
I could send a video of it
Please pass on a video of the issue, to corroborate the issue you speak of, which you also need to elaborate alongside the video. Host the video on Imgur or their ilk and then pass on the link to the video for us to see.
Sorry, for the delayed response. For some reason I didn't receive the email you sent. Initially, it's present in all games, suggesting a possible change in input lag. Sometimes I experience lagging and choppy performance. I set up W10 Home in offline mode, plugged in the Ethernet cable, and downloaded drivers from the ASUS website after reconnecting the cable.
I'm using an I5-12400f (stock cooler), ASUS B660M PLUS WIFI D4, Trident Z G.skill 32Gb 4000MHz (listed on QVL), Kingston 1Tb SSD, and don't know the exact brand but it's a 750W bronze (likely Cooler Master) MPE 7501 ACABW, Wi10 Home, Dell G2723H. I have the latest BIOS 3601.
I've created many videos about this issue, though others claim they can't notice it, but of course I can. I can clearly demonstrate the difference, and if someone tries it, they should definitely feel the impact. Also, my YouTube channel has these videos, making the problem even more noticeable.
