Windows fails to start unless a Linux environment is active.
Hi for the last two days I've been working on figuring out my partner's PC issues and we're really confused. Whenever he tries to start Windows 10 it freezes right after the boot logo appears, same with the Windows Media Creation Tool. But once he makes a PopOS Linux USB it works fine in the live setup, then when he reboots the PC starts normally again. I've asked him to perform a full shutdown and back on, but the problem still happens. We really need some guidance because we're completely stuck. Edit: It does boot into safe mode though — Edited July 31, 2020 by ZolaKluke
You’re reinstalling Windows from a flash drive. Are your files saved elsewhere?
