I received a new 1TB Samsung 980 to swap in for my 250GB 960 Evo. Installed it. The Windows installer displayed the logo repeatedly before looping. Verified BIOS settings, but the issue persisted. Reset CMOS and still experienced loops. Reinstalled the old drive, which also looped. Rebuilt the installation media using Microsoft tools and Rufus, yet the problem continued. For troubleshooting, I tried a live Ubuntu system, which worked fine. I also attempted a live Mint installation, which functioned properly. Once everything was set up, I installed Mint and booted into the installation process smoothly. I've explored various solutions—changed CMOS battery, used different media formats, but nothing resolved the looping.

What Windows version are you attempting to set up? Did you utilize the MCE download utility, which should have retrieved the most recent installer?

I've tried both MCE and Rufus for the ISO file.
