I wonder if you have a hard drive issue - and it could be hitting issues with the pagefile causing it to bluescreen. If it was memory I would typically expect it to not even get past POST or to error at different points. I also wouldn't have expected it to degrade over time which is why i suspect the drive. If you can boot up into recovery or safemode then i'd run a sfc /scannow to check the consistancy of the disk. If not you might need to plug it into another computer and run a scan on it.

Sfc/scannow doesn't verify disk consistency; chkdisk handles that. You might be correct. Actually, in this situation every prediction could be valid.
