Windows fails to start after an unstable Ryzen Master installation.
Yesterday I attempted to overclock my 5900x with Ryzen Master for a HWBot competition. My system was unstable and it crashed. Because it was late, I didn’t reboot it and decided to fix it today. But each time I try to boot into Windows, I encounter a BSOD saying the multiprocessor configuration isn’t supported. I disabled 10 of the 12 cores in Ryzen Master and set the last two to fixed frequencies (4950 and 4850 MHz). Now I’m stuck. Any advice? Trying safe mode doesn’t help either. Appreciate your help!
I checked the BIOS settings but didn’t see anything I should have missed. I haven’t tried resetting CMOS because I don’t want to lose my RAM OC, but if it’s the only choice I’ll have to do it. My confidence is low since I can boot into Linux Mint on another drive.

Many people praise Ryzen Master, but I've encountered some cases like yours. I'm not very familiar with it myself. Have you attempted a safe mode Windows boot? That might allow Ryzen Master to restore it to factory settings. You could also use an older HDD as a boot drive for a fresh install, which might help reset it without losing your current files. Transferring data to the alternate drive could also prepare you for a new setup if needed. These are just guesses, but they could be worth trying. Updated July 11, 2022 by An0maly_76
In Ryzen Master, Windows resists changes, while Linux remains unaffected. I’m not familiar with Ryzen Master—mostly a casual user—I don’t think it’s essential. It seems the preferences are stored in a Windows configuration file; you might be able to access it from Linux to adjust settings and preserve your Windows setup.
