I keep having issues with an Xbox Game Pass and an EA Sports game crashing. When I tried restarting the computer, it froze completely. Then I had to force a restart by unplugging the power, but right after that, a weird Bing Co-Pilot icon suddenly showed up on my taskbar bar. Now when I shut down or turn the computer off again, I get this error message all over: "Explorer.exe application error: the instruction at <memory address> referenced memory at <memory address> could not be written." I've tried fixing it a few times with different tricks, but the problem keeps coming back, especially whenever I try to run something related to a Microsoft app or game. Sometimes it just pops up randomly when I restart or turn off my computer. I'm really desperate to fix this, do you have any ideas?

Do you know if this computer comes with a full list of all its parts? I need to find out which power supply unit it uses. Can we check for any viruses or bad software on the machine? Do I have to use a specific DNS server, and is that important?

Have you tried running a memory test? Should I use DisM to fix my Windows?

I tried running two steps and also sfc /scannow several times as everyone told me to do. I thought everything was okay because it shut down and restarted without showing the error message. But just now, after rebooting again, I got that same error message over and over. So I am pretty confused about what is going on there. I thought those gaming apps crashing caused the problem, but maybe they did, and then suddenly I keep getting this error at random time? What should I do next? Do you think a windows restore would help me fix it?

Hey, did you hear Microsoft is telling people to turn off fast start-up or change how much RAM they can use instead? It looks like that doesn't solve the actual problem. I don't think those steps are enough here.

Sometimes a fast start can cause trouble. Sure, you might try updating your chipsets and BIOS. Also, is RAM set to XMP mode?

I am not sure the answer to your questions, but this is a brand new computer, I can give you more specs, but this is just a Windows 11 issue, right? I understand that Fast Startup could contribute to the issue, but does disabling it actually fix the memory issue, or just mask the problem? If I turned on Fast Startup again, would the problem just come back? It appears that turning off Fast Startup doesn't even have anu effect on restarting, just powering on after shutdown, so I don't see how that helps anyhow since I'm getting the error on restarts. Do you have any theories about why a bad shutdown would cause this particular error? And why does it happen seemingly at random? Thank you for your help.
