That's understandable. It would be useful to know how fast a folder fills up in real time.

I located a discussion on a Windows 10 forum recommending a small tool named treesize free. I downloaded it and it appears to function effectively.

Windows runs this mainly to boost speed. Avoid having File Explorer locked in one place and put pressure on your hard drive by processing very large folders with many nested subfolders.
