Someone else is playing CS:GO with this Windows version? I noticed a big drop to 30fps after updating. Normally I’m happy at 299fps, but now it’s wobbly between 270-290fps. What could be causing this? Anyone have ideas? Also, there’s this strange static sound in CS:GO—anyone know how to fix that too? I searched online but nothing helped much.

I’m not familiar with this game, but I wanted to mention: The current Windows 10 release is version 1809 (April Update). Ensure your system drivers are fully installed—motherboard chipset, audio, UEFI/BIOS, graphics. Verify all components are up-to-date and complete. Note: This isn’t directly related to your issue, though it’s a good idea to keep your security software updated. Sometimes, tools like Avast can block updates, leading to failure. For instance, Microsoft reached out to Avast about causing update issues, and they mentioned a possible fix in their communication. If you have the latest version, Windows Update should apply it automatically. However, if you’re on an Enterprise edition or have hardware with known compatibility problems, updating might be necessary.
