I recently upgraded from 2x8gb to 4x8gb, same brand, identical kit, exact model, but started experiencing ongoing problems. There are frequent BSODs—both when Windows boots and after it has been running. I’ve received numerous error messages and found online guides to be mostly unhelpful. I’m really confused and can’t use my computer anymore. The part list is available here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/px64Vc

Ensure the seeds are placed correctly. If they’re done right, it’s probably one of your recent seeds that didn’t work (I faced the same problem in 2013).

They all appear correctly placed, but there seems to be a significant difference in the RAM specifications. One model is v4.32 while another is v8.31, which could explain the inconsistency you're noticing.

That's correct. The ICs they possess would likely differ and not work together. Use a compatible pair and it should function properly.

Sure, thanks for the assistance. I'm planning to stick with 2x8GB right now to keep the system running. I'll try to recoup the value of the new RAM and see if I can locate it for that version. Probably won't be able to track it down, so I might need to save a bit more before upgrading to 2x16GB.

You're likely to end up purchasing a fresh unit, which ensures it's brand new and comes with a guarantee "just in case."
