You might worry about losing your Mac OS when installing Windows, but it won’t happen. The two operating systems remain separate and independent.

MAKE SURE (CHECK, CHECK, DOUBLE CHECK) that you're partitioning the disk right! By its very nature, AFPS and OS X Journaled are locked from Windows entirely, and NTFS is write-locked from macOS, but there's always that chance that the partition does not complete right. Thankfully, macOS has their excellent Time Machine utilities. Make sure you have a backup before you try and install Windows.
