He recently replaced his motherboard and CPU, then tried connecting a new SATA SSD but couldn't boot despite having Windows installed. The system detects the drive but it doesn<|pad|>, so it isn't recognized as bootable. He’s using an ASUS WS C246 PRO board and an i9 9900KF processor. It’s unclear what the previous hardware was.

Turn off secure boot and switch to CSMOS. The old installation likely ran on an older BIOS, not UEFI.
