My Windows functioned normally until recently, when a sudden change occurred: upon logging in, the loading icon vanished and after over a minute it displayed a black screen allowing cursor movement. This repeated each time until I discovered a workaround—pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart. However, this process took longer than a regular reboot and was frustrating to perform every time. Eventually, I reinstalled Windows, and everything worked again until the problem resurfaced just as before. I also adjusted startup settings and disabled early malware protection, which temporarily resolved the issue for a few days. Despite these efforts, the problem persists, recurring after some time each boot. I’ve reset Windows multiple times since it started, but it keeps happening. Additionally, my Microsoft Store has major issues that resets didn’t fix. I’m unsure what’s causing this and need guidance.

Perform a fresh setup instead of a full reset. A reset only complicates matters further.

Consider trying Task Manager, then selecting File -> Run new task and entering explorer.exe in the dialog. If you see a black screen with a movable mouse, it likely indicates explorer.exe isn't starting properly. Investigate the cause of the failure during launch or crashes.
