Hello, I’m dealing with an issue on my Windows 10. The first time it happened was when I couldn’t quickly access any app on the task bar—nothing would launch, or it would take a long time and stay open for several minutes. At first, I couldn’t even click the Start button, file explorer, notifications, audio, or time. I searched online but no one else seems to have the same experience. Some suggested using Task Manager, but I can’t open it either. To be clear, this only occurs occasionally. I’ve restarted my PC and everything works perfectly until sometimes, my screen goes black, the monitor turns off, but the computer keeps running, with lights on but no response. This forces me to restart. It’s really frustrating, especially when I’m working on something important like an essay and it disappears, losing all my progress. My main concerns are: am I missing something obvious, or is there a connection between these problems?

I've never run the Event Viewer tool before. I can't access Task Manager without a restart, though it usually works fine. I'm not sure about the other components listed.

Begin by eliminating any USB devices not essential for this session. Then review and possibly reduce the list of applications that launch automatically at startup, using the Startup section in Task Manager. Close them one by one, right-clicking and selecting Disable unless absolutely required. Restart the system and enter Task Manager again. Launch Event Viewer via the Windows key. This tool records background activities and errors. Navigate to the left column, expand Windows Logs, and click System. Check Warnings and Errors for any clear indications. If this doesn’t clarify the issue, try a Safe Mode boot and let the PC run briefly to gather more information. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, it likely stems from Windows changes or installed software.
