Windows and OC...
Hello everyone, I recently upgraded my i5-6600K to a steady 4.2 Ghz without changing any settings (HWmonitor showed max voltage at 1.224V). It functioned well until I decided to reformat the PC. After that, Windows stopped recognizing the overclock, blocking it completely. When I restart and open HWmonitor, frequencies still reach up to 4.2 Ghz but then drop sharply to around 3.9 Ghz (the stock turbo limit). I've also tried enabling Speed Shift in BIOS, but Windows doesn't detect it. (Maybe this is why UEFI settings aren't working?) Someone else has faced similar problems? Any tips on resolving this issue?
Hey TofuHaroto, the bios are updated and I’ve got the newest chipset firmware. I can’t clear CMOS because I set up a RAID 0, which might wipe the drive. (This is tricky with a poor connection)
