Windows and Linux recognize Sata SSD, while Dell UEFI/BIOS and Windows 11 installation settings don't.
I'm attempting to set up Windows 11 on a 512GB SATA SSD using a Dell laptop with the newest BIOS. After several days of trying various methods, I managed to flash a Windows ISO onto the SSD and it recognized BIOS and Setup. However, during installation I encountered a "Your PC needs to be repaired" error. I'm considering a dual boot setup with Windows on the SATA drive and Linux Mint on the M.2 slot. I have a Windows 11 Pro OEM Dell Vostro 3520 with BIOS 1.30.0, and I'm using a Micro Center USB 3.1 flash drive with Windows Media Creation Tool. Please help me resolve this issue. You may need to install the Intel Rapid Storage drivers on your Windows flash drive. https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us...stallation Also verify that the SATA mode is configured as AHCI, not RAID.
For Windows 11, TPM is enabled while Linux Mint 22.1 is recommended—stick with Linux Mint for best results.
