Consider which option fits your new build better—Microsoft Windows 8.1 Full Version or Windows 8.1 System Builder OEM DVD 64-Bit. The system builder is ideal if you're assembling a custom machine, while the full version suits those who want everything ready out of the box. The key differences lie in features, customization options, and included components. Let me know if you need more details!

Yes, there are distinctions. One is tailored for new constructions while the other applies to existing structures.

b85 is more established with fewer capabilities and is typically priced lower. It tends to offer better quality.

The complete edition includes both 32-bit and 64-bit DVDs. It works regardless of the device it's used on, making it a good value for the additional $2.

Choose the original manufacturer's version but note it locks the key to the device, making it impossible to move it when you set up a different setup. This is the intended behavior.

You can move the OEM version to a different PC recently. This was done a few months back using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Regardless, for this article it doesn’t really matter because you’re likely upgrading to Windows 10 soon.
