You're weighing the pros and cons of moving from Windows 8.1 to 10. It's a common decision, especially with newer releases. Consider your needs—does 10 offer significant improvements that justify the change? If not, waiting might be better unless you have urgent reasons.

Unless you're using a tablet, it's best to wait for Windows 10. It feels more natural with a keyboard and mouse or trackpad than with an older version like 8.1.

Windows 10 is expected to launch in May of next year, which feels quite distant. I’d hold off on upgrading my PC just yet—it seems more appealing compared to 8.1, but I’m not ready to wait for a new build.

I was expecting a score of 8 in December, but I'll hold off until October. Thanks!

I've worked with Windows 7 and 8.1, so I don't believe the upgrade is significant—particularly at the regular cost. We'll check if things improve with Windows 10.

8.1 costs 20 dollars on G2A or you can immediately obtain Win10 by simply purchasing it, then upgrade later... plus Win7 remains adequate for everyday tasks.

You can find a budget-friendly version of Windows 8.1, which often leads to an upgrade path for Windows 10—though it carries some risk.

You won’t need to pay extra for the ten upgrade.
