Hey everyone, I recently chose to reinstall Windows because my old version was becoming slow from too many files and bloat. I’m transferring data from the old Windows.old folder. The issue is that my disk or system is a Norwegian copy, and the only language option is Norwegian. I tried setting everything to English, but on startup everything remained in Norwegian. After installing English and downloading the language pack, most of the interface now uses English, though some parts like the login screen and control panel still show in Norwegian. My question is, are there other ways besides using the Microsoft upgrade tool to fix this?

No, I haven't tried altering the system locale.

It's important to understand that language packs stop being provided after upgrading to Windows 8.1. Check the details in the linked article for further guidance.

The system language is configured for English/US, yet only certain OS elements appear in Norwegian, such as during login screens.

Since Windows 8.1, the main choice was to get an English ISO from Microsoft and install it directly.
