Hey, I see what happened. You bought a key from G2A for Windows 8.1 Pro, but now you're missing the Pro edition and don’t have a valid copy. It looks like you might need to get a new key or contact the seller for a replacement. Let me know if you want help finding a solution! Thanks in advance.

If you don’t have the Pro edition, simply download the Pro ISO (it’s legal) and apply the key. Edit—likely you haven’t saved the ISO yet or your PC was recently reset.

He shared this on the forum, but it seems he didn't include a pigeon with his message for manual placement. Right? Now MRSMIFFY is staring at me with an empty expression while his pigeons are around.

I considered it but prefer not to reinstall Windows again. My PC is working fine now, though it hasn’t been activated for a while. I keep seeing reminders pop up during games and other activities.

Haha, it might have been easier that way.

Is there a more basic version available instead of Pro? If yes, perhaps it can be installed as an upgrade.

You're unsure about your Windows 8 installation path. The versions listed suggest a progression from Retail to Pro, then to OEM, and finally to 8.1. To identify the edition your key came from, check the product details or installation options during setup.

I purchased the original Windows 8 OEM version, upgraded it to 8.1, and then bought a key for 8/8.1 Pro. Now I’m using it much more often, which is great!
