I own a Windows 7 system since the purchase, and many people recommended it for gaming. But whether it’s truly the best depends on your needs and the games you play.

In terms of FPS there isn't a significant difference between the two. Just go with whatever you prefer

Occasionally yes, at other times Windows 8 works better while at times Windows 7 performs better.

Maybe a few extra frames per second in Win 8 would help. Overall, Win 8 runs smoother because fewer background tasks are active. Still, Win 8 remains faster than Win 7 in most cases. For example, booting from a 7200RPM drive took about 12 seconds on my system, while Win 7 needed roughly 45 seconds. EDIT: Yay 600 post lol

I prefer Windows 7 because I’m familiar with its layout and it feels more pleasant compared to a tablet-like operating system.
