It offers no significant advantages over Windows 10 overall.

I went from 7 to 10 and it didn’t feel right. I didn’t enjoy 8 because of the tablet issues at launch, so I didn’t really care about upgrading. 7 was fine and there was no need to change.

Windows 8 was promoted as a touchscreen compatible system... But you still needed to press the keyboard button at the bottom right corner to activate the on-screen keyboard. It didn’t appear automatically when you typed in text. I’m not sure if they ever resolved that issue, since I moved to Windows 10 right after the free upgrade.

It just showed how desperate the effort was to make the desktop feel like an iPad, forcing everyone to keep using Windows 7 instead of moving forward to Windows 10.

Remaining loyal to version 7. A customized version of Windows 8.1 works well, and I’m likely moving there eventually if Windows 7 becomes outdated.

Windows 7 on your laptop is ready for upgrade to Windows 10. You’re considering this before the current version becomes outdated. I’ve tried Windows 8 before and didn’t enjoy it much. Windows 10 is the one I really like.

I disliked the idea of a homepage when everything was hidden behind tiles, mainly because I upgraded for that reason. Still, aside from that, I don’t really notice much change otherwise.

I only tested the beta version, it didn’t perform well.
