Windows 8
Windows 8
If you already have 7 I wouldn't say it is worth buying. If you are doing a new build and need an OS there is no reason not to grab it since startisback can fix many of its issues.
personal choice, unless they haven't got a SP1 yet, I wouldn't suggest it
I'm using Windows 8.1 Pro on my desktop and Windows 7 across all my laptops. I wasn't sure about switching, especially for my main gaming PC, but I'm really comfortable with Windows 8 now and have never had any problems. I chose the professional version because it has Hyper-V and lets me run multiple Linux virtual machines for testing. The only program claiming not to support Windows 8.1 is an audio app, which has worked perfectly—official support isn't necessary since it's just a precaution.
