You might be able to restore your system using a backup after a Windows reinstall, but it depends on how the installation was done. Running a restore from a backup could help you recover settings and installed apps without starting over.

You can recover backups, but for quicker startup, simply clone to an SSD—this will significantly improve performance.

You mentioned a discussion about using a SATA SSD to swap with an M.2 SSD, possibly due to cloning problems.

Cloning isn't responsible for this SSD issue; the operating system isn't aware it's been cloned. A M.2 drive likely won't improve performance and may even reduce it.

If the problem lies with the software, fixing it again won't solve the underlying issue. A smart yet bothersome approach would be to back up all configuration settings and reinstall the software incrementally.
