No one has managed to run Windows 7 on a Comet Lake PC yet. It seems hard to locate any 400-series motherboards with compatible drivers. If someone has done it, could you confirm whether all the drivers are set up correctly and working properly? (Don’t bother with “Why I’m interested”—you have enough motivation.)

Thanks for the response. Windows 7 seems to work on Skylake systems with minor issues, and it’s also possible on Kaby Lake and some Coffee Lake models. A few manufacturers have released drivers for certain 300-series boards, like ASUS B365. Coffee Lake appears to be the final generation that might support it, though not officially. Running it often requires some special settings. In virtual environments, direct driver access is limited—most rely on VMware or other virtual tools. I’d appreciate any clarification if you have it.

The coffee lake was not available for drivers on any motherboard support sites at the time. They became accessible once developers recognized its potential. It seems likely this pattern applies here. Visit the Intel website for chipset drivers and verify if win7 is included in their supported list.
