You could simply duplicate the app and appdata files and move them to another computer?

In writing, it must be very explicit that deleting later is not possible, like in a WhatsApp message. Any unintended modifications or issues should be clearly stated, even if they seem functional temporarily. The imaging process itself poses risks of altering or corrupting data. If someone considers $300 a high cost after ten years, it suggests they’re hesitant to rely on IT in their work. Considering his age and mindset, I’d approach his judgment of another technology with caution. Strong warning signs here.

It seems to check if the keys are also present in the registry, which could be a good approach.

He must sign off in writing confirming no future responsibility for any problems with the device. The phrase "you were the last to touch it" happens frequently over time, particularly among those unaware of the recommended upgrades every ten years.

It seems you're suggesting checking available documentation before attempting to obtain or move the software.

The system is already slow, and adding more upgrades might make it worse.

It seems like you're making a humorous observation about the licensing cost. It looks like you're comparing the expense to a yearly license for just one piece of software, which makes sense given your own usage. The tone suggests you're playfully questioning why someone would need such a license if they only use it occasionally.
