Windows 7 formatting issue Fn keys malfunctioning
I handed my laptop to a shopperson who formatted it. When I returned, it didn’t behave normally—it just followed commands without input. Pressing F3, F4, etc., worked automatically. For instance, pressing F12 increased brightness instantly, without needing to press any other key. I don’t want that kind of automatic response. Perhaps using full screen with F11 would help, but it would lower the brightness instead. Please let me know if this makes sense.
also, this is a windows setting. look for it in the settings menu
