Your windows keeps displaying the settings for updating windows even though you changed it to never update. Additionally, your changes aren't being saved, and new software disappears after you restart your computer.

Windows 7 is no longer supported, so expect issues with updates and other features. My advice: Record your product key, turn off Windows as needed, and upgrade to Windows 10. The latest version 2004 performs better on budget systems with at least 4GB RAM when using the Windows Debloat Tool.

The PC fails to save changes after installing Game Ready Drivers from NVIDIA GeForce Experience. Startup repeatedly prompts for Windows updates even though updates are set to never apply. The issue became apparent when logging into GeForce Experience and discovering the drivers weren’t installed. Deleting GeForce didn’t help, as it would reappear. Any file, programs, or settings reset automatically.

Check if the driver matches Windows 7 requirements. Since Microsoft ended support for Windows 7, it's likely Nvidia has stopped providing updates as well.

It could be an SSD failure. I experienced this before and didn't accept it.
