My family computers running Windows 7 had some issues recently. To fix things quickly, I swapped in a different drive and used Linux temporarily. After Windows 10 came out, I planned to upgrade and fix it. Because it was a prebuilt unit, I obtained the ISO and created a bootable USB to attempt the repair once I changed the drives. Even after finishing the repair, it still won<|pad|> to boot. I’ll try again tomorrow. If needed, I’m considering a clean install using the key on the side of my PC. Since it’s likely an OEM model, I’m wondering if I can handle the process without contacting Microsoft.
