I assembled my Windows 7 PC several years back and it was working well until recently. A short time ago the monitor flickered heavily, then went fully static and produced a very loud noise. I pressed the power button for a moment to turn it off completely. After restarting, the CPU cooler and keyboard lights came on, but then the computer emitted a beep and shut down again, repeating the cycle. This issue occurred before but resolved itself on its own. As someone new to building computers, this seems like a straightforward fix.

This appears to be a custom assembly rather than a brand-new unit. It seems components were added or replaced, and the machine likely has specific technical specifications.

The alarm signals a malfunction. The pattern of sounds varies with the issue. Check the guide for your motherboard or the device’s model code if it was assembled.

If it sorted itself out, the issue would be resolved.

Cringe isn't the word. It's broken. That's the point. Use it. https://www.dictionary.com/

It's a ready-made version for a machine my dad had years ago, and I'm about to start making changes myself. So far, I haven't made any updates.
