Hey everyone, I just put Windows 7 64-bit on my laptop. It only has 2GB of RAM, and it's running really slow. But is it the RAM that's causing the problem? Thanks for your help! P.S. Sorry about my English, it’s a bit messy.

It runs slowly due to background programs or an outdated operating system location

That's right. RIP. 4GB would be my minimum, wouldnt rly run it any lower, since the performance will be rly decreased.

It varies based on the processor, graphics card, and hard drive speed. For older laptops, it might use 4200RPM drives that are quite slow! Additionally, keep a 32-bit operating system if your RAM is under 4GB.

Access advanced settings in the system, adjust the priority to perform before appearance, and ensure you have a minimum of 4GB of RAM.

We frequently ran into memory issues when moving our work laptops to Windows 7 x64. Many struggled because they only had 2GB of RAM. Increasing it to 4GB resolved the problem, though Windows still allocated a significant portion of that space. You might notice around 500MB available, but it continues to demand the extra 2GB or more.
