Windows 11 - upon restart, all program configurations are reset
About two weeks ago I purchased a new laptop running Windows 11.
I installed all necessary programs and it functioned properly for some time.
If I recall correctly, I never restarted the machine, just put it to sleep.
Recently I faced an unusual situation:
My MS Office became unresponsive, and I couldn't terminate it except by restarting the computer.
After a restart, my settings returned to a state from about a week ago—browsers, Office...
Moreover, the Office would freeze whenever I tried to use it.
And each time I restarted, I ended up back where I was before, regardless of which browser panels I had opened.
Possible reason?
Between the period when everything worked and now, I attempted to use Clonezilla for system backup (it was a very unsettling experience—it altered something in BIOS, and I wasn’t sure I’d ever regain access to Windows again...).
Later, I also installed Macrium Reflect, which created its own environment in BIOS.
(I’m not certain if it should be called BIOS, UEFI or something else, sorry...)
Any suggestions?
I’m feeling quite desperate...
I can’t recreate everything after each restart...
🙁
EDIT:
When I opened Office files in another program, it reported they were "blocked by another user". :-o
Your problem description doesn't make a lot of sense.
Please show screenshots - illustrating your problem.

I use Firefox and Chrome.
On Windows 10 (which I've used for many years), tabs remained even after restarting.
I'm not talking about recently closed tabs.
After opening the browser, there are many open tabs—just not the ones I used yesterday, but those from a week ago.
MS Word shortcuts—like inserting special symbols by pressing a key—still work without searching the symbol table.
But other settings in MS Word are gone too; I turned off spelling checking and similar options and they're back.
How can I take a screenshot of that?
Usually: The programs are in the state as a few days ago, everything I changed yesterday or today is lost.
Are you certain no other launches are occurring in Task Manager > Startup or through the Task Scheduler later? Could an app or utility be being triggered? Regarding corruption, please run 'dism' and 'sfc /scannow' to check for issues and fix them if needed.
It seems there was an issue with your clone process.
Or, the system is starting from the image/clone you set up.
Yes, I had to select both browsers to return to the session I had left before! Thanks!
