Windows 11 System Continues to Crash Frequently
SOLVED!!!!!!
I played BG3 last night and have been using Unigine Heaven for a few hours this morning without any crashes. The WHEA-Logger warnings in the event viewer disappeared too. Before purchasing a new riser cable, I remembered that the LIAN LI case came with a PCIE 3.0 cable. Since both the card and MB are 4.0, it seems they were trying to communicate faster than the cable could handle, leading to a crash. I changed the bus speed in BIOS from gen 4 to 3. For reference, in GIGABYTE BIOS you can search for "Link Speed" and it should appear immediately. Now that said, I’m still unsure exactly when the PCIE bus speed issue started. A couple of months ago I faced file corruption and software problems, which likely came from faulty hardware. I’m really glad this situation is finally resolved and I hope it helps others facing similar problems. Thanks again, Darkbreeze.
