Windows 11 suddenly fails to start completely
I turned on the pc and the Cloudflare Warp app requested an update. It installed normally, then I started a multiplayer game but there was no internet connection. After rebooting, I didn’t notice much. Now Windows won’t load properly—only the MSI logo appears, but the screen goes black. I’ve already tried resetting the BIOS without success.
Update your post with complete hardware details and operating system information. Provide PSU specifications, model, wattage, age, and condition status. List all connected peripherals. Indicate whether the network is wired or wireless. Share the original source link for the Cloudflare update.
I restarted the pc until it entered windows repair mode, then I attempted chsdsk followed by SFC /scannow via command prompt. It detected some issues but didn't resolve them. I also tried performing a system restore prior to the cloudflare update, which failed as well. I noticed the BOOT ez debug indicator lit up briefly on the MSI b650 screen and the speaker emitted a single beep.
I got it fixed. I observed the mouse and keyboard lights staying on after the MSI boot logo disappears and the monitor goes black. I turned on the speakers and started typing random letters, pressing enter, which made the wrong password sound. That confirmed the issue was with the display. I switched to a display port cable and it worked again.
EDIT: Returned to the HDMI cable and it also functioned properly. Still unsure what caused the problem.
Checked the event viewer and found an event 1000 application error for Cloudflare warp.exe. I’m not sure if that was the real reason Windows didn’t show any display, but I uninstalled it.
