Windows 11 shows no M.2 SSD detection following a blue screen issue.
OS: Windows 11 Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened? Hello everyone, I need your assistance with this problem. I assembled a new PC with these specs: Corsair MP600 Pro Gen4 PCIe x4 NVMe M.2 SSD 1TB, Corsair 4000D Airflow Case, Corsair QL Series with RGB fans, Intel Core i7-12700K, ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4 LGA1700 board, Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3200, Corsair Serie RMX (2021), RM750x PSU, Noctua NH-U12A Chromax.Black CPU cooler, and no graphics card yet—just integrated graphics. I purchased everything from Amazon and completed the build without any issues. As soon as I finished, I started installing Windows 11 with updates and drivers, and it worked perfectly for a week. Last night, while watching YouTube videos, I didn’t see any update alerts. Suddenly, my PC lagged and after a few minutes displayed a blue screen error saying “Recollecting data to know what went wrong 0%.” It couldn’t be captured on screen. After that, the machine restarted and directly brought me into BIOS, but my M.2 SSD didn’t show up. Could you help me troubleshoot this? I already plan to replace the M.2 SSD with another one from Amazon, but I’m worried it might happen again. Uncertain if it’s a software problem or a hardware defect. Thanks in advance. What occurred? The M.2 SSD isn’t appearing in BIOS. What should have happened? OS should boot normally from the M.2 SSD. Screenshots of the issue, if any, would be helpful.
It seems the SSD might have been deteriorating, which could explain the blue screen. I’d begin by checking that assumption. Consider replacing it to confirm.
