Windows 11: prevent forced updates. Steps to avoid them.
If you miss the straightforwardness of XP and the convenient navigation in the start menu, the ease of returning to previous states with StartIsBack and StartAllBack can greatly enhance your Windows experience. Regarding updates, it can be frustrating if you don’t want automatic updates, but many pre-set versions are available that have these features turned off or paused, as some users prefer not for updates to run automatically. Also, here’s a quick screenshot of my Win 11 with StartAllBack enabled—clean, simple, and much more user-friendly than the default.
This version doesn't align with my views. Startbackle revives many old features. My reason for choosing Linux (KDE Plasma) was the awkward decisions Microsoft made about the interface after 7, plus the clutter, unnecessary components, and advertisements.
I favor the hammer technique. Stage 1: Power off the PC. Stage 2: Unlock the computer. Stage 3: Take out the OS disk. Stage 4: Put the disk on a solid base. Stage 5: Strike it repeatedly with a hammer... numerous times... quite soothing! Stage 6: Swap the disk. Stage 7: Set up Windows 7. Stage 8: ??? Stage 9: Gain profit
