I don’t use OneDrive and it didn’t cause issues before. After upgrading to Windows 11, I can now install it without it, since my CPU is supported. I’m wondering if the update will come pre-installed with OneDrive or if I’ll need to keep my files separately.
Ensuring all your files move smoothly from the current Windows to Windows 11 is important. You won’t need to rely on OneDrive anymore since you’ll be installing fresh software. If you’re not comfortable with one storage option, consider purchasing a USB drive and moving your data onto it. Once Windows 11 is installed, you can transfer the files back to your computer from the USB.
no thats fine so it will bring all my data over but install onedrive again then i can decide if i wanna uninstall it
Only when you use OneDrive can you access all the files and move them.
I'm referring to the situation where upgrading to Windows 11 causes it to reinstall OneDrive, even though I previously used it. The issue stems from a past experience where OneDrive attempted to back up everything on my system, leading to data loss and forcing me to reset. I've decided not to rely on it anymore.
