This situation is really confusing. The PC setup uses a Ryzen 5 5500 with specific components, and I was able to install Windows 11 using an older MBR installation method. However, when trying the same process in UEFI mode, even with a USB key, the installation stalls unexpectedly. I've turned off CSM and enabled UEFI boot, but the system still recognizes my USB drive and tries to proceed. The installation pauses for 1 to 11% during setup, and sometimes it restarts or just freezes. Despite running MemTest86 without issues, the problem persists. What exactly is disrupting the Windows install in UEFI?
It seems you'll have to create a fresh image and rerun the Rufus process. If issues persist, consider switching to another OS, just for fun!
Current configurations: AMD fTPM activated with factory reset erase support, CSM enabled, boot/secure boot turned off, operating system set to Windows UEFI. Let me know if you need further adjustments!
Secure boot only requires support; it isn't mandatory for Windows 11 functionality (though certain games such as BF6 may need it activated). Refer to "System firmware" for details on "Secure Boot capable." You should either quote the term or use @Tetras to alert others, unless they're engaging in your discussion. Likely the disk has a problem—consider booting from a Linux live USB and inspecting the drive. Or attempt installation to test stability.
The device is brand new and as mentioned earlier, I can successfully install and run Windows 11 without problems in MBR. The only issue I’m experiencing is with UEFI.
