I've been using Windows 11 for a while now... I've dealt with several minor problems, but this one has been keeping me up at night. It makes me consider reverting to Windows 10 or switching to Linux. I'm getting really frustrated trying to understand what's going on. Almost every Microsoft-related thing feels sluggish. The login screen sometimes freezes and I have to re-enter my pin. When I open the store or Windows Security, connecting drives and Outlook takes a long time and often fails. Updating seems to be a never-ending task. I've tried a lot of fixes—swapped RAM, changed drives, reinstalled Windows twice, updated BIOS, reset BIOS, adjusted performance settings, checked Event Viewer, looked at thermal and resource usage. All seem normal. I'm considering enabling FTPM and disabling BitLocker, thinking it might be related to battery life. It seems more frequent when I use the laptop on battery power, but restarting doesn't help. I know it's not my network since other Windows 11 machines in my house don't have this issue. My laptop specs are a Ryzen 5800H with 32GB RAM, 3060 mobile, 1TB PCIe 3.0 NVMe.

I might have identified the problem. I turned off BitLocker and disabled the fTPM, which made everything Microsoft-related work faster right away. After re-enabling it and clearing the fTPM, the applications started functioning normally again. I’ll keep monitoring for the next update to verify and gather more information. I believed they resolved the AMD fTPM issues last year.
