I recently experienced a blue screen after launching a game, and since then my PC won't start Windows. It begins to boot but plays the start sound. Then appears the warning "Updates are in progress. Please keep your computer on." for a brief moment. After that it restarts. This keeps happening repeatedly. I accessed the recovery mode by forcing shutdown three times during startup. The system reports an error when attempting to uninstall the most recent update, and the automatic repair fails. systeminfo.exe lists three hotfixes installed roughly a year ago. I attempted to remove them using "wusa.exe /uninstall KB...", but that also failed. The same issues occur when trying safe mode, low resolution mode, or disabling automatic reboot on error. What alternatives should I consider? I want to prevent reinstalling Windows.
